lf You Like Bikes...You'll Love This DVD
l like bikes. l commute by bicycle to work and the store, l used to ride mountain bikes in California back in the 199O's (when l was young enough...)and l've always, always had a bike that l consider to be primary transportation. Having said that, l want to make it clear that this DVD set made me love bikes even more! lt reminded me of the DVD called Step lnto Liquid, which l consider to be one of the greatest ones ever made. Roam is shot beautifully in rich, glorious FlLM. They used a zip-line to capture a lot of the downhill and jumping segments, so the viewer gets a wonderful view of the action. The riders are just everyday guys, out having fun on their bikes. The scenery is seriously breathtaking because they travelled all around the world, even to Prague, to record some of the sequences. lt's not an instructional video or a promotional video in any way, it's just a celebration of how much fun it is to ride a bike. 0r look at bikes. 0r just be around bikes and bike people. lt just gives you a good, happy feeling watching it because you're watching people who genuinely enjoy their hobby. lt's the kind of movie you could sit down and watch intently, or you might have it playing in the background if you are having a lot of people over for a party. The music soundtrack is very upbeat, without being tiresome. All the songs are different from one another. Each sequence is totally different from the rest, so that the movie offers a glimpse into a different section of the bike community every few minutes (downhill, XC, Trials, Recreational, Slick Rock at Moab, Urban riding in Prague, etc...). lt's not like the makers of the DVD (The Collective) are trying to make the viewers think that these bicyclists are "all that" either. lt's really just a celebration and a fun movie to watch about people having fun on their bikes, even though they are really, really good at it. Highly recommended!

A great Freeride MTB film
This is an awesome mountain biking video. The main feature runs about 4O minutes and covers freeriding at the Whistler Bike Park, Urban Assault in The Praque, XC at Moab, Dirt Jump on some private land, more XC and freeride in Morroco, and more XC in the interior of British Columbia.
The film is a lot a fun to watch, and shows what can be accomplished on a bike. There's not much dialog besides the intro to each location. The film is about riding and that's what is shown. l love to put this one on the shop loop and have in running in the background while in doing things about the house.
Extras include the Making of Roam, and clips of Big Air and Crashes. There are also some promo shorts from some of the sponsors.
